After fifteen years in the trades, Mat went back to school to study Business and Sustainability. He graduated with high honors in 2018.  Following his graduation Mat implemented a Strategic Energy Management (SEM) program for his alma mater. In addition to finding energy savings opportunities and writing grants for energy efficiency projects, Mat has worked to bring all campus stakeholders to one table so that everyone could work together to save energy.  The success of this program led Ameren to invite Mat to give presentations and formally recognize the multidisciplinary collaboration of the school’s SEM program.
